So excited for 2026

For our final episode of Colorado Inside Out in 2025, we took the conversation in a different direction, literally & figuratively. We stepped away from the CIO Desk, put on our smocks, and gathered at what we’re calling the Doodle Desk—a space designed to get to know our Insiders a little more deeply: their stories.. why they’re part of the show.. what drives their perspectives, and their creative sides too. As we talked, we sketched each other... it's harder than you think! THANKS for the fabulous concept for the show, producer extraordinaire Silvia Samayoa!!! Only four Insiders are featured in this episode, but more Doodle Desk conversations are coming in the New Year. We’ll be sharing them online and on Studio Twelve on PPBS12 Any chance you can guess which of our Insiders created this colorful and unique impression of me?!?

A huge thank you to all of you who joined us throughout 2025 for our weekly conversations on Colorado Inside Out. Here’s a look at our December 26 episode—full of fun, flair, and some genuinely candid, heart-to-heart moments as we wrapped up the year.

We’re decked out (especially the always-fashionable Alton) for tonight’s Colorado Inside Out. Thanks to Patty Calhoun, Chris Rourke, Alton Dillard, and Marianne Goodland for coming together to sort through all that transpired this week.

We wish everyone a wonderful remainder of Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and the best Festivus — Marianne’s favorite!

And also.. the day after Christmas our show offers a special twist, and another side to share of some of our Insiders. Join us Fridays at 8 on PBS12 or anytime on YouTube, Spotify & Apple Podcasts!

This rivals Santa’s Workshop🎄—the Denver studio of contemporary Western artist Duke Beardsley. It was such fun to catch up with Duke and catch a glimpse of works in progress, along with new paintings that will be featured in the Coors Western Art Exhibit at the National Western Stock Show in January.
I also picked up one of the prints I found in his annual Stocking Stuffer Print Sale! These fun prints of his iconic horse riders are collaged with vintage magazine pages and are full of character.
Duke is enormously creative and talented, deeply loves the American West, and is as personable and genuine as they come.

Parade of Lights Day always sends me straight down memory lane — cruising through Downtown Denver on the ski-themed float, bundled up in those verrry puffy 9News coats, waving to what felt like an endless sea of Coloradans ready to welcome the Christmas season.
Here’s a throwback of me and my dear friend Kim Christiansen, circa 2000 (based on the jackets alone!).
Wishing Colorado a beautiful holiday season — and sending a belated but very heartfelt birthday hug to Kim. ❤️🎄❤️

Stories connect communities. Stories that highlight the good around us resonate with and engage people.

This is what can make a profound impact on community. I seek out and tell these stories.

My gift is my ability to listen. I will hear your words, connect with you, and identify what will ignite passion in others. Allow me to tell the story that needs to be told and be the legs it needs to journey far beyond the confines of your circle.

I work with various budgets, constraints, and needs. The important part is that your story gets out.
“You make people comfortable in telling their stories and YOU have the way of making them pop for the reader. They come alive; readers feel the joy and pain. You have ability for straight-forward factual presentation. Your stories are ours, and the impact with which you share brings the community into action.”
