Years ago, my mother Carol Dyer painted Old Baltimore Harbor as part of her "Port Cities of America" series. This is a scene she created from circa 1900 with historical references to waterfront businesses, schooners, steamships and ferries.

Once again, I appreciate my mom's talent for showing the bustling and energetic happenings of a community.. and Baltimore will be that way again ❤️💛🖤

I got the chills Saturday night when I noticed seven remarkable women stand arm in arm as they watched their journeys with type one diabetes play out before the crowd at the JDRF Mountain West - Colorado & Wyoming Dream Gala. It was such an organic and spontaneous moment of love and support among the "Women in T1D" ... the night's honorees.

I loved getting to know Kami, Kimber, Megan, Margaret, Irma, Mindy & Karen. They inspired me when I first met them months ago, and they went on to motivate those gathered to donate generously to support the research that will lead to a cure for T1D.. once and for all!

On this International Women's Day, a huge shout out to Women's Bean Project! I'm so fortunate to produce video stories capturing the successes of WBP employees, who before coming to The Bean, were chronically unemployed. They inspire me beyond words! In less than a years time, these women transform their lives by holding down a full-time job, discovering their self-worth, regaining confidence, trusting others and themselves, identifying their goals and living their purpose.. I could do on and on. And, even better.. when all of that happens, those around the women flourish as well. Families are healthier, happier and more stable. Relationships evolve and grow stronger. The Women's Bean Project doesn't just impact the life of an employee, it leaves a wider and lasting positive impact. (And that's all on top of the fabulous food mixes that are produced here in Denver and shipped all over the country).

So on this #internationalwomensday2024.... here's to the women who work on the production lines, in shipping and in retail at Women's Bean Project! And, here's to the women who are the leaders who guide these wonderful employees!

The WBP slogan couldn't be more on the mark: Real Work. Real Food. Real Promise!!

Stories connect communities. Stories that highlight the good around us resonate with and engage people.

This is what can make a profound impact on community. I seek out and tell these stories.

My gift is my ability to listen. I will hear your words, connect with you, and identify what will ignite passion in others. Allow me to tell the story that needs to be told and be the legs it needs to journey far beyond the confines of your circle.

I work with various budgets, constraints, and needs. The important part is that your story gets out.
