CONGRATS to my friend and former colleague, the magnificent meteorologist Mike Nelson who is retiring after 48 years, most of those in Denver! I love this photo from 2016 when Mike was inducted into the prestigious Silver Circle of the NATAS Heartland Chapter! A winner you are, indeed! Thank you for all you have done to educate Colorado on the weather, and keep us safe. Enjoy sleeping through the next snow storm.. you deserve it!

So sad to hear of the passing of curious conversationalist, wordsmith extraordinaire and friend, Bill Husted. Bill worked at the Rocky Mountain News & Denver Post, a true fixture in Denver journalism… and a fixture in Cherry Creek North where he’d always be out and about waking his beloved dog Marge. We became friends when I moved to town…here we are at my wedding… all smiles. Happy memory on this sad day.
