Parade of Lights Day always sends me straight down memory lane — cruising through Downtown Denver on the ski-themed float, bundled up in those verrry puffy 9News coats, waving to what felt like an endless sea of Coloradans ready to welcome the Christmas season.

Tonight’s Colorado Inside Out was taped before Thanksgiving, and before the shocking death of Colorado State Sen. Faith Winter. In this photo, we’re all smiling, unaware of how life can change in an instant.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of this dedicated lawmaker, who brought warmth, empathy, and steadfast advocacy to the State Capitol for the past 12 years, and before that in her service on the Westminster City Council.
The CIO team at PBS12 sends love to Senator Winter’s family, friends and to everyone who has worked alongside her to serve all the people of Colorado.

So great to see Women's Bean Project at this year’s Cherry Creek Holiday Market...AND to meet Shelby Mattingly, the new CEO at WBP! Loved seeing the variety of goodies made by the amazing women working at The Bean. Their transitional job program helps women transform their lives by making delicious food mixes, building workplace skills, and preparing for long-term careers.
I’m super excited to serve up some of their cornbread for Thanksgiving dinner! 🧡🦃
